Harlestone Primary School

Welcome to Harlestone Primary School, a small and friendly village school nestled in the heart of the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. With three classes from Reception to Year 6, we make the most of our spacious grounds and natural surroundings to provide learning that is active, engaging and enriched by the outdoors.

Our classrooms are calm, purposeful and inviting. Teachers and teaching assistants know every child as an individual, tailoring learning experiences to meet each child’s needs and interests. In our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 class, children learn through a balance of direct teaching and high-quality continuous provision, where carefully planned activities and meaningful adult interactions allow them to explore, play and learn in ways that inspire curiosity and independence.

Key Stage 2 is organised into two small classes, led by experienced and dedicated teachers who provide personalised learning and close support, enabling every pupil to thrive.

Our curriculum is innovative, ambitious and broad, blending classroom learning with outdoor opportunities, including PE on our MUGA, Forest School sessions and projects within the local community.

We also offer wraparound care from 8am to 5pm, alongside a wide variety of after-school clubs to extend children’s interests and experiences.

We would love to welcome you to see our school in action — please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
