by Barbara Lomas Dear Parents and Carers As we approach half term, I would like to inform you of some dates and events that will take place when we return for our final half term. School Photographs – Tuesday 8th JuneDue to difficulties with travel, Leicester Photographic had to postpone their session last week. This will now take place on Tuesday 8th June in the morning, so please ensure that your child comes to school in school uniform. Breakfast Club Launch – Wednesday 9th JuneYou are all welcome to attend the launch of our new breakfast club on Wednesday 9th June from 8.00am until 9.30am. There is no charge for this event. Please let us know on the booking form if you will be attending the launch, so we can ensure that we have enough provisions, also please ensure that if you wish your children to attend the club on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th, please fill in the booking form and return it as soon as possible. Breakfast_Club_Booking_Form.doc Summer Fayre – Saturday 19th JuneOur summer fayre will be taking place on Saturday 19th June from 12.30pm until 4.00pm. Please send in your toys, books and white elephant items, as you may be clearing out and doing your spring cleaning! We would also welcome tins, packets and bottles for the tombola. Please find attached 2 books of raffle tickets, which we hope you can sell. If you need any more, please contact the school office as we have plenty. If you know of any firm that may be able to donate a raffle prize, we would be most grateful. Sports Day – Thursday 1st JulyWe will be holding our annual Sports Day on Thursday 1st July. More details to follow….. Book WeekBook week will be held from Monday 5th July until Thursday 8th July. Please come and have a look around at the great books that are on sale. Going Up Day – Monday 12th JulyThis day gives your child a chance to meet his/her new teacher and also some of our Year 6’s go to their new Secondary schools for the day. Change for Life Magic Show – Tuesday 13th JulyThe children will be seeing a magic show on the theme ‘Change for Life’. Music Afternoon and Presentations – Wednesday 21st JulyMore details to follow…….. As we are hopefully heading into summer, please ensure that your child has on high factor sun cream, which must be placed on before coming to school, along with a hat. All children have a water bottle in school, however, if your child has lost his/hers we do have some for sale at the cost of £2.00 per bottle.
