History

We aim to develop the child’s awareness of the past and the ability to make comparisons with the present.
The children are given the opportunity to study ancient civilisations, as well as important events in the history of Britain. We make full use of the school building, local community and a range of artefacts as historical resources.
‘I was impressed by the children’s confidence and their knowledge of life and politics at the time. In fact, ‘King Henry’ commended the whole class and one boy in particular, on their intelligent questions and interest’. Governor Observation 2006
‘I felt proud to be a Governor of Brington School having spent the day with such a group of happy, interested and well-behaved children’. Governor Observation 2006
